SMS messaging & consent
This page documents RoadKin's transactional SMS program and exactly how a customer opts in — written plainly for our customers and for messaging-compliance review.
How opt-in is collected
Customers request roadside assistance at roadkin.co/book. At the step where they enter their phone number (“How do we reach you?”), they must check an explicit, not pre-checked consent box. The request cannot be submitted until that box is checked. This is the exact box every customer sees and agrees to:
Consent is recorded server-side with a timestamp, the customer's IP address, and the exact disclosure text shown above, so each opt-in is independently verifiable.
What we send
Messages are transactional only, one-to-one, and customer-initiated — we never send marketing or promotional texts on this number. After a customer books, we send:
- A secure tap-to-pay link for the service they requested.
- Status updates as their operator is dispatched: accepted, en route, on scene, and complete.
Sample messages
- RoadKin: your $145.00 booking is ready. Tap to pay + track: roadkin.co/s/Ab3xK9pQ Reply STOP to opt out.

Message frequency
Typically 3–5 messages per service request. We only message customers who have just booked or are tracking an active job.
Opt-out & help
Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages; reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile information, including your phone number, is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
